Dandie Andie Floral Designs started with a lifelong love of weddings… and a serious obsession with flowers. My passion bloomed while planning my own 2006 wedding — a flower-filled celebration on a budget that sparked the dream: what if I could bring that same magic to other couples’ special days?

Before opening my own studio, I worked in multiple floral shops and studios, gaining a wide range of experience and learning different styles and techniques. I also honed my craft at Mohawk College and earned my diploma from the Canadian Institute of Floral Design. In March 2010, Dandie Andie Floral Designs officially opened its doors.

Operating from my home studio in Mississauga, Ontario, I work by appointment only — keeping our focus fully on you and your event. I love keeping our team small and intimate; no storefront distractions, just beautiful flowers and personal attention.

Hi! I’m Andrea, but everyone calls me Andie — a name my partner, Ioan, picked out for me when we first started dating. We tied the knot in 2006, and our family grew complete in spring 2010 when we adopted our two kids, just a few weeks after opening Dandie Andie Floral Designs. Needless to say, it was a very busy year!

I have a soft spot for fun glasses (so I might look a little different every time you see me) and love seeing how each pair dresses up my face. I speak a bit of Spanish, and when I find a rare moment to myself, you’ll usually find me doodling, painting my nails, or enjoying a cold drink — always cold, always refreshing.

I adore tattoos and see them as a beautiful form of art, especially the ten I already have. I’m also a travel enthusiast, having visited 24 countries on five continents, with a big goal to stay in an over-the-water cabana someday. Next dream stops? Samoa, Fiji, Belize, Japan, Morocco, Scandanavia (I’m half Finnish), Croatia, and Turkey — though Antarctica is off my list (cold weather isn’t my thing!).

Floral design is my full-time passion, and I truly love what I do every day at Dandie Andie Floral Designs.
