Inspiration for my colour loving couples. Arrangements filled with spring time brights. And I couldn’t help but use a million garden roses everywhere.
When I began work on this shoot I started with an idea: a brightly coloured spring shoot with tonnes of greenery —even before Pantone announced their colour of the year. The partnership with Anna brought the concept of a Southern couple’s wedding with a Canadian twist. A few digital meetings later and we had put together a plan that we were both excited about.
Bold black and white stripes partnered with a gorgeous gown that was elegant and yet sweet and finished off bright, eye catching florals.
My goal with the florals was to make the greenery my neutral tones to bring a solid base to the arrangements. Overall, I really wanted to showcase attainable ideas for our couples looking for inspiration. Starting with the ceremony structure, that was decorated in a way that would be affordable yet beautiful. I added few bud vases to each table and two smaller centrepieces which is a more practical price point for the average bride than the thick flowing garlands and table runners that are so trendy. And just practically who needs candles when it’s light out until 9:30pm during summer weddings in Ontario!
